Amfiteáter Martin

Amfiko is an open-air amphitheatre and summer cinema located in Martin, Slovakia, owned by the city of Martin and operated since 2001 by the advertising and media agency VL MEDIA. Originally established in the 1960s, the amphitheatre has long been a landmark cultural venue and a gathering place for generations of local residents, hosting film screenings and large public events that once attracted tens of thousands of spectators. Renovated in 2008 with European funding and further upgraded in 2024 with refurbished seating, the venue today offers a dignified and well-equipped space suitable for major cultural events, concerts, and open-air cinema. Alongside concerts and festivals, Amfiko is best known for its highly successful summer cinema, which became the most visited in Slovakia in 2010, regularly drawing hundreds or even thousands of viewers per screening, and continues to play an important role in the cultural life of the city.
