WTF Rock Festival

About

WTF Rock Festival (also known as Way Too Far Rock Festival) is an annual rock music festival in Bistrița, Romania that aims to break geographic and cultural barriers by bringing together rock fans and artists from different generations and styles, from alternative rock and indie to heavy metal and symphonic rock. It was first launched in 2017 near the Aerodrom Bistrița area, quickly gaining identity by hosting major Romanian acts such as Grimus, Altar, Celelalte Cuvinte, Coma, The Mono Jacks, Robin and the Backstabbers, Taxi, Days of Confusion, Byron, and Vița de Vie early in its history. The festival often features both established and emerging rock bands from Romania and abroad, and its editions have included special performances and activities like workshops and rock community events, with recent news highlighting appearances by acts such as Subcarpați and metal band Infected Rain on its stages. WTF Rock Festival also organizes competitions like the Rock Battle at The Gate of Transylvania, inviting rock bands to compete for performance slots and prizes.
