Posada Rock is one of the oldest rock festivals in Romania, held in Câmpulung Muscel — a historic town located at 580–600 m altitude, about 150 km from Bucharest. Founded in 1986 as a three-day competition festival, Posada Rock was created to showcase the best underground bands while hosting established Romanian rock acts in recital. Over the years, the festival has brought to its stage many of the most important Romanian rock bands, as well as notable international acts such as Dark Funeral, Moonspell, Tiamat, Soen, Lacuna Coil, Hypocrisy, Overkill, and Paradise Lost. It continues to serve as a national platform for emerging artists, maintaining its role as a landmark event in the country’s rock culture.
