Jazz Jamboree, held in Warsaw since 1958, is one of Europe’s oldest and historically most important jazz festivals. Over the decades it has hosted icons such as Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Ray Charles, making it a crucial gateway between global jazz and audiences in Central-Eastern Europe, especially during the communist era. Various venues have been used, including the legendary Sala Kongresowa and, more recently, Klub Stodoła and other spaces. After a period of decline, the festival has been revitalised under the AdamiakJazz / Jazzarium Foundation, presenting both Polish and international artists. In its long history it has attracted hundreds of thousands of listeners and remains a strong brand within European jazz culture.
